Ava's been on multiple flights already in her life but with the start of this holiday season and a whole lot of traveling coming up, I'm thinking that it may be a little tougher with a walking, talking, independent little toddler in tow than it was with an itty bitty baby.
Am I right or am I right?
We're hopping on the first of many upcoming flights this morning and while it's just a short trip up to Northern California, of course I don't want to be that mom with that baby who's screaming and crying and making all of the other passengers' eyes roll. And in all honesty, I personally don't want to listen to a crying, whining toddler for an hour and fifteen minutes either. So while I'm totally not an expert on the "travel tips with toddlers" subject (yet!), I'm pretty sure we've prepped for our travels and found some great ways to keep her entertained, all without packing a ginormous bag (win!).
So here are my tips for traveling with a toddler:
Call me crazy but I think if we head out with one doll, no toys and one Samsung Galaxy Note 8, we will be all set. Yep, everything [I think] we are going to need to keep Ava busy fits inside my pocket.
And I'll tell you why:
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that we got right from my favorite place in the whole wide world (Target, of course) has got so many fun ways to keep Ava entertained on all of our upcoming flights and road trips. Of course the famous YouTube, for those flights with wifi, with that beautiful, big screen stretching the entire width of the phone. But Ava's new favorite is that S-Pen. She can color to her little heart's content and I'm fairly positive she thinks the phone is magical because of it. Oh wait, it is magical. Not exaggerating, the day we got this phone she colored on it for a good half hour straight! And if you have a toddler, you know that that's pretty freakin' impressive, to say the least.
It's got 4K video which is a mama vlogger MUST (or an every mama must to capture those beautiful holiday memories) and Ava's a big fan of selfie's these days too. Oh yeah, and that low light dual pixel camera? Yes please! No more pixely night time shots for us!
Okay so clearly, it's going to keep me just as entertained as it'll keep Ava and that's just a fun bonus. And if I'm lucky, she may even nap so I can get some work done remotely while we're flying above the clouds.
And we're off!
