MOM HACK | They'll THINK it's actually ice cream.

As you all know from my millions of Instagram stories yesterday and that adorable photo of Ava lounging on a bench in Ventura, Ava got to try her first ice cream cone yesterday, all to herself. Only, it wasn't ice cream.

Frank's family has been going to Ventura Harbor for years -- it's their tradition. They go to Andria's for clam chowder and fish + chips, get some ice cream from the ice cream shop and of course, have to try on all of the hats in the hat store. So as Frank and I began dating years back, it became our fun little tradition too! Ava has been a couple of times already but this weekend she got her very own ice cream cone.

We ordered an ice cream cone (yes, just the cone) with some whipped cream on top and it was perfect! Maybe we will add a couple of sprinkles on top next time? She got a little messy but I assume it was far less messy than ice cream would've been. Just getting some practice in for her first birthday party smash this weekend ;) And she went to town on that cone!
