The Gift of Cheer | Homemade Peanut Butter Cup Recipe

It’s the season of giving — my favorite season of them all.

I’m one of those people who gets giddy about giving gifts. Like so giddy that I typically spoil everything before Christmas rolls around and usually my husband has opened at least half of his gifts before December even rolls around. I know, I’m like a child when it comes to gifts but I don’t even care. There’s just something about finding something perfect for someone and seeing their face light up as they open it up and that is what I love most about this season.

So I’ve heard about this in years past and always knew that it was a yearly tradition I wanted to start with Ava as soon as she was old enough and this year, we’re doing it.

This year we’re baking my mom’s famous homemade peanut butter cups and giving them to people in our community to help spread happiness and holiday cheer. Oh yeah, and deliciousness too!

They take just three ingredients to make, no oven or stove required and they’re the most delicious holiday treat you’ve ever tasted. We snagged some super cute TakeAlongs® on-the-go Rubbermaid containers in holiday colors (green, gold and red) and we will be packing our treats up and giving them to people in our community:

  • Ava’s teachers

  • the delivery men and women (who deliver packages to us daily)

  • our neighbors

  • the policemen and firefighters who have been hard at work this season in our community

  • our gardener

So here it is — the Peanut Butter Cup recipe just for you and I promise, you’ll be the hit of any party if you show up with these.

That’s a promise.

Step 1:

Snag some festive TakeAlongs® holiday containers in red, green, gold or any of their patterned colors to add a bit of holiday cheer to your baked-good gift giving. They’re great for on-the-go holiday gatherings, cookie swaps and come in a variety of shapes and sizes for no matter what your baking or making this year.
