Easy Easter Dessert Recipe | Peeps Krispie Treats

Easy Easter Dessert Recipe | Peeps Krispie Treats

Last year we tried this super easy Easter dessert recipe we saw on Instagram and it’s become our Easter tradition… two years straight now hah! But I imagine we will continue this trend for years to come because the kids absolutely love them!

Fun Fact: I don’t like marshmallows or peeps but they sure do look pretty in there!

Soooo I don’t really have an actual recipe because we’ve ever measured anything out. And it’s worked out just fine every time! The one thing I did miss is spraying the pan — wasn’t the end of the world but it would have made my life slightly easier. But if you forget like I did two years in a row now, don’t fret as they’ll turn out just fine!

Peeps Krispie Treats Recipe

  • spray your pan

  • line with Peeps

  • fill with Rice Krispes

  • slice up some butter in there (we forgot this step last year and they were just fine!)

  • put them in the oven until it’s all melted enough to mix (we did about 10 minutes on 350)

  • pull them out and gently stir (if you stir a lot you’ll lose the pretty colors)

  • optional: top with sprinkles while they’re still warm so they stick

  • let sit until completely cooled down

  • slice into pieces

  • optional: top with more peeps if you love them as much as my kids too!

It’s seriously so quick and so easy that the kids can do it all on their own (minus the oven part). And they’re fun and festive and a great activity to do with the kids this Easter season!

If you want a quick rundown of all of that, watch the video I posted on my Instagram below! And don’t forget to tag us on Instagram @jennhallak if you make them — Enjoy!
